Panorama played the first friendly of the season against Ruimsig, another local team from a league above. With both team trying new players, the game was initially a scrappy affair, with Ruimsig finding the opening goal after 2 minutes and missing multiple chances to score a second, thanks to the great effort by the Pana keeper.
Only when Olgiati, Stoychev, Almeida and Wills (rested in the first half) were added to the team, the game changed and suddenly Ruimsig were on the back foot. A penalty by DuPlessis (returning after a year hiatus) levelled the score. But Ruimsig managed to score the 2-1 and eventually the 3-1 in the last minutes of the game. Panorama found the final 2-3 with a goal by Reabow, playing for the first time in the new team.
The first outing of the season was promising, mostly because only a selection of players will made the final 18-20, and the players' attitude gave coach Stoychev something to think about it!
