In less than 8 days Panorama are facing the top three teams in the league. It started today with a game against Central Johannesburg FC, moved to Panorama's ground due to ineligibility of Central JHB's grounds.
Central JHB was looking for an easy win at Panorama, but instead they got away with a lucky draw, with Panorama playing with their hearts out and snatching a draw after a hotly contested game. With Olgiati limited by a hamstring injury sustained in the first 15 minutes, it was Almeida's time to shine in the midfield, by running everywhere and providing the links with Swanepoel.
Yet things didn't start well: after 10 minutes Central JHB found the 1-0 with a speculative shot from distance that caught Roger unprepared. But Rogers had plenty of chances for redeeming himself, with a string of superb saves that kept Panorama in contention. From a corner kick Panorama got a penalty due to a handball and Stoychved converted by slotting the ball in an impossible corner.
It was probably the best moment for Panorama, which kept a tight defense line with the oustanding pairing of Louw and GIldenhuys, supported by Hooker and captain Mosima, but the score at half time was 1-1.
The second half saw the introduction of Hadiapostolou and Zwani to try to contain Central JHB on the long switches, but was Panorama who found the goal: a long kick from Rogers was superbly controlled by Olgiati, who fed Soombur on the wings. Soombur managed to pass a great ball to Swanepoel who chipped the keeper for the deserver 2-1 lead. It was Swanepoel 21st goal of his superb season.
Soon after Soombur was injured, and with no changes left and ow injured guys on the field (Olgiati and Soombur) Panorama held but conceded a late penalty that was transformed by Central JHB. It was too little, too late for the opposition, who couldn't score the winning goal, giving Panorama a deserved point against a top side!
