Match Report It was bound to happen. After a good second half of the season, Panorama finished too many times too close to the big upset.
Losing as Queens Park 2-1 3 weeks ago, with a penalty in the last minute, drawing at home 2-2 with Central JHB, again with a penalty against in the last 5 minutes, were all signal that something special was about to happen.

In a catch-up game (with Queens Park desperately needing a win to stay at the top after last week's surprise) on a perfect spring evening at Panorama ground, everything came together perfectly. Finally with a full-team and the introduction of 3 new players from the starting minute, Panorama dominated possession and went close to score with Olgiati and Robson. Olgiati got injured within the first 15 minutes, but decided to play through the pain barrier and help the team. The risk worked since the first goal came from Olgiati who somehow managed to steal a ball from the keeper and backpass it to Stoy to scored in the empty net the 1-0.

Robson once again got close on his first goal, and the solid back four (Louw and Morris dominated the opposition, while Hooker and Ferreira kept the wingers at bay, and Rogers delivered that kind of calmness that you expect for a keeper at the top of his game) kept the tall Queens Park's strikers out of the game.

It was time for the midfield to grow during the game. Almeida offered the runs and last minute tackles that  the team was missing for such a long part this season, while Bailey controlled the midfield with precise long balls for the never ending energies of Goncalves and Stoychev on the wings. The second goal was scored by Bailey who took advantage of a quick penetration in the Queen's Park area.

In the second half things didn't change. Queens Park tried to play more aggressively, but Panorama killed them with speed. Olgiati got subbed because of the injury (and concluded a series of 61 consecutive matches were he played 90 minutes for Panorama!) but Wilken provided a good link with speed and accurate passing with Swanepoel, who replaced the tired Robson.

And it was Swanepoel who scored his 22nd goal of the seaon, smashing a ball in the next from medium distance. There was also glory for Stoychev who scored the 4-0 with a precise penalty.

The end of the game was ruined by the insane reaction of one of the Queens Park players, who headbutted Swanepoel who then needed 4 stitched in the hospital on his chin!

Overall probably the best team performance since the 7-1 win away to Randburg, and another shake up to the top 4 teams, now dreading a visit at Panorama's grounds!
