Match Report
For the third time in an excellent week, Panorama stopped another pretender to the league throne. After the 2-2 with Central JHB and the 4-0 demolition of Queens Park, Panorama faced dangerous Chivas, looking for 3 points to stay close to the top.
With Olgiati taking his full role as manager on the sidelines and a renew confidence with a team lacking important players (the mentioned Olgiati, Wills, Mosima and Soombur), Panorama showed no respect for Chivas, dominating the early possession and finding a goal with Hooker, once again from a free kick, his third of the season!
Chivas found the 1-1 with a injust penalty (the Chivas player went down like a rotten watermelon after a 50-50 challenge with Louw, who clearly hit the ball) but Panorama had another gear. Pressing hard with a midfield in form (the portoguese connection, Almeida/Goncalves easily contained the Chivas manouvre), the found the 2-1 from a great corner kick by Stoychev, in fine form the whole week, which was converted my Goncalved with a powerful header.
Chivas someone managed to find the 2-2 in the dying minutes of the first half, due to one of the few mistakes the defense, captained by Louw, did in the game.
With Almeida out in the second half, Morris was deployed with Gildenhuys in defence, and Louw was free to exploit his runs and tackling in the midfield. Unfortunately Chivas found the 3-2 with a great combination in front of the area. But just when they were celebraing an importan win away at Panorama's grounds, another dead ball by Stoychev was time time perfectly hit by Swanepoel, who didn't want to leave the game without scoring a goal!
It was time for Livesey, after a season with the reserves, to make his debut to replace the courageous Hadjiapostolou. Chivas launched a last attack, but it was too little, too late.
In the space of 7 days Panorama managed to show the top three team what could have happened without a season marred with injuries!
