Match Report What a great way to finishing the season!

After some strong displays in the past month, Panorama finished the season with a win at home against Palmeros.

Missing again key elements of the team (Louw, Morris, Mosima, Soombur) and welcoming Wills on the bench after 3 months, Panorama re-introduced Olgiati in midfield after a 3 weeks recovery period for a tore hamstring.

The game started very well. From a long range free kick taken by Rosolen, Swanepoel connected with his head to score his 24th goal of the season. Soon after Olgiati could have scored a second, and Swanepoel could have added another one, but in both cases the goalkeeper managed to save it.

Palmeros had no answer to the solid 4-5-1 formation and didn't get close once to the goals. The back four (once again with differnet players, this time pairing a solid Robson with an inspired Goncalves, and supported by Hooker and Rosolen) didn't let anything in, and Rogers was at his season's best.

Around the 30th minute a vicious foul by one of the frustrated Palmeors player left Olgiati injured again, but, with a short bench and with Reis having some issues too, he decided to play on and beat the pain.

The second half started the same way. Almeida and Stoychev took care of the running and tackling, while Reis and Wilken tried to play the ball quickly for Olgiati (now moved in ad advanced position) and Swanepoel.
Around the hour mark Wilen won a ball and after beating a Palmeros' defender, he laid it to Olgiati, who with one touch passed the opponent and with the other unleashed a powerful shot in the top right corner.
It was Olgiati's 10th goal of the season, but 5 minutes later he had to leave the field because of hamstring problems and deploy Lunga in a running position. But his job was done.

Almeida stepped up and took care of holding the midfield together, using Wilen for his precious runs. With 10 minutes to go Swanepoel was tackled in the area for a penalty. He asked Stoychev, the penalty taker of the team, for a chance to get his 25th of the season, but his kick was high. It wasn't meant to be apparently!

Nevertheless it was a good result against a strong opponent!
