Panorama won 1-0 away to Randburg in a friendly that unfortunately ended up adding another player to the list of serious injuries: Stoyan Stoychev broke his toe in the starting minutes of the game, and he will be out for at least 2 months. He played for the whole 90 minutes without realizing the damage. This kind of spirit should show the players what Panorama needs in facing a season that it will be one of the most challening. With the amount of players down from last year, and the 3/4 injuries that took out some of the best performers, the task to achieve a safe position in the league will be hard.
The game, played under a harsh sun, was controlled by Panorama for most of the first hour, with Basnett scoring again to find the 1-0. Olgiat and Stoychev then took care of defensive duties to nullify all of Randburg's attacks.
A good win but a worrying trend (injuries in pre-season) continues...
