Match Report Panorama faced the Stars of Africa Academy in one of the toughest games of the season. The plan was easy: play with a defensive 5-3-2, cope with the pressure, and hope for a lucky break.
It all worked until the 20th minute. One of Stars of Africa players tried to hit the ball from the hands of Rogers, who already was safely holding it on the ground. The player kicked him hard in the head, and got the ball, which was then passed for an unmarked player to score. It was a horrific tackle which left Rogers on the ground, unconsious, for 3 minutes, with no reaction. Blood for pouring from his head and minutes later it was transported to the nearby hospital.
It was shocking for the referee to convalidate the goal and not even sanctioning the player who hit the keeper in the head, but was even more shcoking the anti-sportmanship beahviour showed by Stars of Africa players, moaning for the time wasted while on of Panorama's player was seriously injured on the ground.

It was the episode that changed the game. Perdichizze, himself coming back from a long period of sickness, replaced Rogers, but Panorama players went on a revenge rampage. Stars of Africa was obviously the strongest team, playing beautiful football at a tempo and precision which was difficult to cope. The three centrla defenders did a great job in closing down the central channels, but Stars of Africa exploited the weak left side and some indecision by the keeper to score few more goals.

The second half was less about football and more about violence. Down 3-0 and with only two changes available (Wills was brought in for Reis, and Du Plessis for Bassnett) , Panorama lost completely composure and instead went looking for blood. With Stars of Africa trying to humiliate the opponent, Wills destroyed on their players, and in the midfield Swanepoel and Olgiati completed the jobs by simply kicking whenever it was possible. Pyrotis got a red card for a similar kick (in front of the referee, who by then totally lost control of the game).

It was a shameful display on the field by both sides: the unsportmanship showed by a superiod side (Stars of Africa), and the quest for revenge displayed by Panorama. It was all for nothing, with Stars of Africa winning the game scoring plenty of goals from any change they got, and Panorama finishing the game chasing ghosts and legs...
