My experience at the event:

With a different starting point from last year's edition (inside the beautiful Kloofzicht Lodge rather than from a field by the road), the usual team (Jill, her dad and I) decided to spend freedom day's morning running this nice 10km.

The race started 30 minutes later because of the chaos created by cars trying to park far away from the starting point, and the first 2km were terrible: slow, uphill and crowded. As soon as we left the lodge, the road got wider and thanks to the nice course (5km and back, with hills only at the start and the end) l managed to score a nice sub-50 minutes time, that could have been even better if I didn't get caught in the human traffic at the start, where I lost about 2 minutes.

For a first race since February, I can be quite happy!
