My experience at the event:
It's a good year. Yes, I had my usual amount of injuries (especially in March), but for the second time in few months I beat my own personal record, this time by running 10km in less than 44 minutes!
I always knew that this was a good race to run in a good time: flat, long, and easy, and, with a 6.30 start, the conditions were ideal (not too hot) to run, even if I was still recovering from the blisters problem from 2 weeks ago.
I lost some time in the crowded start by the airplanes (it's always great to run surrounded by those monsters!) but I managed to recover in the next 2-3 km. I pushed until the end and I ended up with a 43 minutes 54 seconds almost 3 minutes quicker than my
last attempt here in 2009!
Curtis finished in an excellent 54 minutes, while Jill struggled a little a finished aroun 1.10 with David.
