My experience at the event:

First round of the cup is always a nervous affair. Knowing that any mistake can be decisive and the season can end up quite quickly (the league finished 2 weeks ago), it was normal to have a scrappy affair between us and Balfour (who we beat twice in the past two Winter Cup finals).

At the end we won 2-1. I scored the first goal, but I still feel that this 2017 hasn't really clicked for me. My display was almost lethargic (I had some flu the week before) and my decision making in certain moments was appaling. But at least we won, and we continued to the next round!  Back to sports
