My experience at the event:

I haven't been training much this winter. In the past few months I seldom completed more than 10km, but I decided to accept Jill's invitation to go running in Pretoria at the Phobians running club for a tough (well, I didn't know about it!) 15km. 

The race was a 2-laps hilly affair, with some very hard hills and some killing downhills. My goal, since I was playing later in the afternoon, was to take it easy and push just enough to keep my legs going, but I ended up, especially the second lap, at a better speed that I was aiming for.

My personal time was under the 1.20 that was my initial goal, and also Jill managed to finish it in 1.44, which for such a hard course, was a very good result!
