My experience at the event:

Another week, another race. This was the first time I was running the King's School race, and I decided to do it with Jill just because it was around the corner.
The race was quite hilly (it started in Ruimsig, just below the mountains that separate this side of the world to the Kurgerdorp side) and it was definitely hard, especially after 2 weeks without doing much running (unfortunately the time during the week to run is not much these days).

I had a tough start, the first hill came too soon and was long, and I had to slow down to recover after such a hard first 1km. Fortunately after the 3rd km, there was some breathing space with a long downhill which stretched for around 2 more kms. I finished the race just below the 50 minutes mark, not a great time but I'm feeling the excess kilos accumulated during a long winter...

Jill finished at aroun 1.09, and it was her first race after getting engaged few days earlier to Curtis (congratulations!)
